Our Director
Joe Blackburn
Joe founded the business in 2017, after a career of showjumping and spending a number of years as a qualified electric engineer for a MDNO. Joes unique background allows him a perspective and understanding of processes that very few have.
What sets us apart from every other company is our director. Unlike other firms where management is often disconnected from their teams' activities, Joe plays a strong role in the completion of every project. His passion and knowledge are wholly applied to every design and build that the company is tasked with and will not settle for anything less than excellence. The Saw Doctors Forestry team are driven by Joe’s passion and imagination, which is what allows us to be undisputed for workmanship.
Joe is known for figuring out ways to complete the most unique jobs and offer solutions that no one else can. He takes great care in understanding each individual job to provide long lasting and incredible solutions.
Alongside managing day-to-day business operations, Joe enjoys spending his free time in the workshop putting his wood carving and fabricating skills to work. All specialist products for projects are made by Joe in the workshop, ensuring our high standards for quality construction are present in every element. Outside of work and the workshop, Joe is passionate about bee keeping and enjoys raising a healthy hive. After all, there is nothing better than local honey!
